Our commitment

Keystone Technologies believes that every person, regardless of ability, should be able to use our website, communicate with our team, and benefit from our services. We are committed to providing an accessible online experience and to continually improving as standards, tools and our content evolve.

This commitment is rooted in our values and required by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR).

Standards we follow

This website is designed and maintained to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA, the standard required of public-facing websites in Ontario under the IASR. Where practical, we also adopt newer WCAG 2.1 success criteria.

What we've done

The following accessibility features are built into this site:

  • Skip-to-content link at the top of every page so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass repeated navigation.
  • Semantic HTML structure with proper landmarks (<header>, <nav>, <main>, <footer>) and a logical heading order on every page.
  • Keyboard navigation support, every interactive element can be reached and operated using only the keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images. Decorative graphics and icons are marked so screen readers skip over them.
  • Colour contrast targeting WCAG AA ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and interactive elements).
  • Resizable text, pages remain usable at 200% zoom without loss of content or functionality.
  • Reduced-motion support, when your device requests reduced motion, our scroll animations and transitions are disabled automatically.
  • Form labels are programmatically associated with their inputs, and required fields are clearly marked.
  • Mobile-friendly responsive layout that works at any screen size, in landscape or portrait.

Known limitations

We work hard to ensure consistent accessibility, but some content brought over from older sources may not yet meet our current standards. If you encounter content on this site that is difficult to use with assistive technology, please tell us, we will prioritize a fix.

Multi-year accessibility plan

Under section 4 of the IASR, Keystone Technologies maintains a multi-year accessibility plan that outlines our strategy to prevent and remove barriers and meet our requirements under the regulation. Our plan is reviewed and updated at least once every five years and is available on request.

Third-party content

Some content on this site comes from third-party services (for example, embedded videos or external login portals). While we choose vendors who take accessibility seriously, we cannot guarantee the same standards apply to content hosted on systems we do not control. If you have difficulty with a third-party tool linked from our site, please let us know and we will work with you on an alternative.

Continuous improvement

Accessibility is a journey, not a destination. We test this site on an ongoing basis using a combination of automated tools, manual review, and feedback from real users. As issues are found, they are logged and prioritized in the same backlog as any other site improvement.
